Tooth filling for children is an effective procedure that helps to maintain dental health at an early age and prevent the development of caries. The opportunities of modern dentistry allow performing caries treatment for children without a dental drill. But the application of these techniques is possible only on the initial stages of caries. Sometimes you need to do a tooth feeling to avoid further complications. For example, not properly treated caries may become a reason of early baby teeth removal that will affect the formation of the correct dentition. There is also a risk of infection and inflammation of the oral cavity. Therefore, the filling of baby teeth should be carried out on time.
As a rule, prevention materials are used for baby teeth filling. Their main difference from materials used for permanent teeth treatment (composites) in that they eliminate special components for a long time and strengthen the teeth. Such preventive materials are used also for permanent teeth that haven’t fully developed yet. It`s a temporary filling a part of which is then removed and exchanged for a permanent composite filling that is just the same color as a natural tooth.
